The Russian Federal Security Service discovered a cache with explosives in Daghestan (Chechnya's neighbouring republic in the Russian Federation) on Thursday. It was found in one of the republic's northern districts and contained anti-infantry mines, an electric detonator and a radio-controlled explosive.
The mines are similar to those that were used during the terrorist act in Kaspiisk, Daghestan, on the 9th of May, experts say. The explosion that hit the city's major street killed dozens of people participating in a parade to celebrate Day of the Victory over the Fascist Germany.
The discovered mines were put to the cache a short time ago and were ready to be used in new terrorist acts, said Daghestan's Federal Security Service administration.
