26.4 t. of Humanitarian freight from American non-commercial organization AmeriCares has arrived in Tashkent on February 19th. It was delivered to “Soglom avlod uchun” (Healthy Generation) International non-governmental organization, with support from US State Department and US Embassy in Uzbekistan.
The aid includes medicines and medical instruments, assigned for cardio-surgical departments of hospitals in Uzbekistan. U.S. Ambassador to Uzbekistan John Herbst was at Tashkent’s airport for the arrival of the shipment.
In Uzbekistan, AmeriCares collaborates closely with their long-time partner "Soglum Avlod Uchun" Foundation, Uzbek non-governmental organization, and they already delivered US$15 million worth of aid.
