On Tuesday two Russian Emergencies Ministry planes dispatched another humanitarian cargo - 50 tonnes of rice from the Moscow government - to the Bagram air base 20 kilometres east of Kabul, the Russian Emergencies Ministry reported. The ministry spokesman recalled that late last week two Il-76 aircraft of the Emergencies Ministry delivered to Bagram 50 tonnes of flour from the Moscow government. On December 20 and 25 Russian Emergencies Ministry planes will deliver to Afghanistan 50 tonnes of sugar, 25 tonnes of vegetable oil and medicaments. In all, the Moscow government will send to Afghanistan some 200 tonnes of food and medicaments. Over the past months the Russian Emergencies Ministry made 13 flights dispatching 210 tonnes of humanitarian cargoes for the Afghan people.
