Belarussian economy to become attractive for investments

Belarussian president Alexander Lukashenko believes that Belarus should become an efficient part of the world economic structure.

According to the presidential press service, Lukashenko said this last Friday at a meeting with participants in the international scientific-practical conference Eighty Years of Belarussian Economic Justice.

The Belarussian president believes that the attraction of foreign investments is an important line in the country's state policy. "We will do all we can in this sphere so that our legislation correspond to the latest standards," he stressed.

Speaking about the development of the Belarussian economy, Alexander Lukashenko pointed out that "the economy does not like revolutionary innovations." He reminded those present that the Belarussian economic entities were created in the 1950s-1960s. "That is why we decided we shall not destroy but improve the economy while removing what we do not need today," the president declared.

Alexander Lukashenko also said that Belarus pays much attention to the development of the economic justice in the country and to consolidating contacts with the economic courts of foreign states, above all CIS countries.

Taking part in the conference being held in Minsk are heads of economic (arbitration) courts of Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine and Latvia.
