Kyiv urges to allocate $750 billion of Russian assets of for the country's restoration

Ukraine names the cost of country's restoration and demands to take money from Russia

Ukraine will need about $750 billion to recover, but most of the amount can be taken from the money taken from Russia. This was stated by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

“Who should pay for a recovery plan already valued at $750 billion? We believe that the confiscated assets of the Russian Federation and Russian oligarchs should be the key source of recovery,” the politician emphasized.

He added that the confiscated assets of Russian individuals and legal entities allegedly range from 300 to 500 billion dollars.

Other sources of restoration of Ukraine are grants and soft loans from international financial organizations, investments and the country's budget itself, Shmyhal suggested.
