Bulgarian PM blames Russian ambassador for his resignation

After a vote of no confidence was passed against Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov and his government, the politician blamed the incident on three Bulgarian politicians and Russian Ambassador to Sofia Eleonora Mitrofanova, reports Novinite.

According to Petkov, it is these people who are guilty of overthrowing the government. In addition to Mitrofanova, the ex-premier named businessman and former deputy Delyan Peevski, head of the GERB party Boyko Borisov and head of the other party "There Is Such a People" Slavi Trifonov.

“What (the opposition) did not understand is that they will not be able to conquer the Bulgarian people. I promise that we will continue to fight for our country. One day we will see Bulgaria, which will not be ruled by people in the shadows, we will see it without the mafia, we will see it as a normal, successful European country, ”the politician said.

Earlier, the Bulgarian parliament voted to pass a vote of no confidence in Petkov's coalition government. He was nominated by Peevski's party, the party "There is such a people" left the coalition even before that.
