North Korea launches three ballistic missiles

The US military registered launches of three ballistic missiles in North Korea, the Pentagon reported Monday. These were intermediate-range ballistic missile.

As the military said, 'North Korea made three missile launches,' which were noticed by the STRATCOM systems. According to their estimations there were launched two Scud-class missiles, which were 'allegedly followed by an intermediate-range ballistic missile Nodong'. The Pentagon noted that they 'posed no threat to the US security.'

However, they can reach any destination in South Korea.

In early July Washington and Seoul agreed upon deployment of the THAAD air defence to prevent possible missile threat from North Korea.

Pyongyang condemned this decision and promised to take 'the most strict physical countermeasures'.
