OSCE welcomes Serbia's, Montenegro's readiness to help Kosovo elections

The Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe has made a statement welcoming the willingness by Serbia and Montenegro to assist in setting up polling stations in these republics for holding municipal elections in Kosovo on October 26.

The Serb and Montenegro committees on refugee affairs signed the other day corresponding memorandums with the OSCE mission in Kosovo.

According to the OSCE, over 109,000 refugees from Kosovo will take part in elections on the territory of Serbia and Montenegro. Over 200 polling stations will be set up with OSCE observers present. The ballots will be afterwards counted by the OSCE Centre in Kosovo.
