Scott Kazmir, a left-handed starting pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays, felt discomfort in his elbow at the final warm-up, just before the Tuesday's intrasquad game. Kazmir decided to take no risks. He underwent strength tests and was sent to the St. Petersburg office of team orthopedic Dr. Koco Eaton.
