The Los Angeles Galaxy traded former U.S. international midfielder Jovan Kirovski to the Colorado Rapids for a first-round draft pick and reacquired Brazilian midfielder Marcelo Saragosa on Wednesday.
Kirovski was dealt to Colorado for the Rapids' first-round pick in the 2007 Major League Soccer SuperDraft. The 29-year-old midfielder has appeared in 24 games for the Galaxy this year, scoring four goals and four assists. Last year, his first with the Galaxy, he started 23 of 24 games, finishing second on the club with eight goals. He also had two assists.
Saragosa, 23, will fill the spot on the Galaxy's roster vacated by defender Paul Broome, sent to Real Salt Lake on June 29. He had originally joined the Galaxy in March 2004, AP reports.
