The George Bush administration will send a delegation of the heads of US media corporations "for dialogue on the freedom of the press and the role of the mass media in society," US Secretary of State Colin Powell reported. When speaking in Washington on Thursday he reminded the press that the US-Russian agreements on the launch of a dialogue on the issues of the media business had been reached in the course of the recent summit between George Bush and Vladimir Putin. The coming dialogue is expected to include discussions on the problems of investments, taxes and management in the mass media the solution of which is necessary for the activity of a free press, Powell said. He didn't say, though, when the heads of US media companies would make this visit to Russia.
