An unusual monument will be exhibited in a Moscow art gallery at the end of February. This will be a sculpture 1.54 meters tall (this is the exact height of the Soviet communist leader Vladimir Lenin) that will be a figure of Lenin with the head of Mickey Mouse.
Author of the unusual monument is Alexander Kosolapov, an artist who has been living in New York for over 20 years already. Because of his attempts to interpret the heritage of the socialist realism, Alexander came into conflict with the Coca Cola company. The artist made a poster called Lenin and Coca Cola. The famous company, in its turn, sued the artist for unauthorized usage of the trade mark. But Alexander Kosolapov managed to win the proceedings as he proved that the Coca Cola trade mark became the common property of the American people, a part of the national folklore.
