Bowling tournament among Russian mass media teams

On Monday, Moscow will host an all-Russian bowling tournament among national mass media amateur teams, called "Mass Media Bowling-2002".

About 20 teams, including RIA Novosti, NTV, NTV+, the Mayak radio station, have applied for the tournament, Andrei Bakatov, Marketing and Advertising Director of the Russian Sports Bowling Federation, reported. Journalists' teams from St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Saratov are expected to participate in the tournament.

According to regulations of the competition, all the teams will be divided into two groups. In the outcome of personal meetings a half of the teams will drop out and the other half will continue competing at the play off stage.

The tournament will popularize bowling in Russia, organizers of the competitions believe. And the participants will have a magnificent chance to kill two birds with one stone - to enjoy themselves, playing bowling and to talk with their colleagues
