Alcohol beverages kill tourists in Poland and Czech Republic

The Russian sanitary service has expressed concerns over the growing number of victims of illegal alcohol in the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia. The department recommended Russian tourists not to drink anything stronger than 20 degrees in the Czech Republic or Poland, reports NTV.

As of September 13th, 16 people have died from methanol poisoning in the Czech Republic. There were two such cases registered in Poland and one in Slovakia, writes Forbes.ru. In addition, according to local media, the number of deaths in the Czech Republic has already reached 21, more than 30 people were hospitalized.

On Sunday, the sales of Czech alcoholic beverages were suspended in Poland. Four people have already died in the country from counterfeit alcohol poisoning. Meanwhile, the Czech media reported that incidents of poisoning occurred due to the consumption of Polish alcoholic beverages.
