Film festival of Asia-Pacific region countries ending in Vladivostok

The competition show of films at the first film festival of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region Pacific Meridian is coming to an end today. Films from China, South Korea and the U.S. are to be shown to the jury on the fifth day of the cinema forum.

The official closing ceremony of the festival and the presentation of awards to the winners will take place on Wednesday. A prize of $25,000 will be presented to the winner of the main prize.

Famous film director and actor, and chairman of the Russian Fund of Culture Nikita Mikhalkov has arrived in Vladivostok today to participate in the closing festivities.
