Kazakhstan may buy Russian jets

Kazakhstan deems it possible to buy RRJ short-haul aircraft with a passenger capacity of 50 to 95 seats and a range of up to 2,500 km produced by the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft company, Kazakhstani Prime Minister Danial Akhmetov said at a meeting with Sukhoi General Director Mikhail Pogosian, the press service of the Kazakhstani government reported.

In the course of the meeting, representatives of the company told Akhmetov about their program for the creation of short-haul Russian aircraft (Russian Regional Jet) and the possibility of Kazakhstani participation in it. In his turn, the Kazakhstani Prime Minister pointed out that Kazakhstan needed aircraft of this type for domestic air transportation.
