Federal Security wargame over

The command-and-staff exercise Federal Security of the Moscow and Volga-Ural military districts is over, the press service of the Defence Minister told RIA Novosti on Friday.

"The troops involved in the exercise have returned to places of their permanent disposition", the press service said.

In preliminary estimation, the goals set have been reached.

"The headquarters and troops have had a good practice of group planning and use with account for the new military and other threats facing Russia, new trends in warfare and troop operations", the press service said.

"The exercise has confirmed the capacity of army units jointly with other federal troops, army formations and organs to conduct territorial and civil defence, cut short acts of armed provocation, ensure the security of transport communications, fulfil peace-keeping functions", the Defence Ministry press service said.
