Fradkov satisfied with Russian-Chinese military-technical cooperation

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov pointed out a high level of Russian-Chinese military-technical cooperation.

"We boast a good level of relations in this sphere and open prospects for the future. The decisions of the memorandum [on military-technical cooperation signed in 2001] are being implemented and controlled," Mr. Fradkov said at the meeting with Guo Boxiong, deputy chairman of China's Central Military Commission, on Thursday.

According to the Prime Minister, "military and military-technical cooperation are playing an important role in Russian-Chinese relations".

"I assume that the recent promotion of mutual trust and active work on a number of military-technical programs speaks for this fact." Mikhail Fradkov stressed.

On his part, Guo Boxiong, visiting Russia at an invitation from Defense Minister Sergei ivanov, said that his visit aims at further consolidation of Russian-Chinese mutual understanding, friendship, interaction and cooperation.
