TNK-BP supports development of pipeline infrastructure

TNK-BP stands for the soonest setting of the main and basic tasks that would speed up the process of creating new pipeline routes, TNK-BP Executive Director German Khan declared at an international pipeline forum. According to him, this will positively influence the national economy. The businessman noted that top managers of major oil companies had regular meetings on this issue with representatives of Transneft.

Khan also reported that TNK-BP was participating in international pipeline systems. At the same time he added that the company faced a lot of problems caused by various legislation in different countries. He mentioned that TNK-BP was one of the initiators of the Druzhba-Adria project that would enable the company to export an additional 5m tons of oil a year. Moreover, the company supports using the Odessa-Brody oil pipeline in the reverse direction, which may provide an additional 9m tons of oil exports a year.
