Steven Michael Theede, Chief Operating Officer of YUKOS-Moscow Co, has provided the Russian Prosecutor General's Office with the documents it had requested while investigating into fraud and tax evasion by YUKOS' affiliated companies. The information and public relations department of the Prosecutor General's Office has said this to RIA Novosti.
Prosecutors took an investigative action at the company's office on Wednesday. The YUKOS-Moscow chief was given a warrant to seize the documents. "The required documents were provided," said the department.
The Prosecutor General's Office confirmed that Mr Theede had not been interrogated.
"YUKOS-Moscow employees, as well as company chief Steven Michael Theede, have not been interrogated," says a statement circulated by the Prosecutor General's Office.
