Rosneft to profit by Gazprom pipeline network

Gazprom has agreed to transport natural gas produced by Purneftegas, a subsidiary of the Russian oil and gas company Rosneft, Vice President Alexey Kuznetsov reported today commenting on the results of the international conference on oil and gas potential of the Sakhalin island. Kuznetsov noted that the company had serious gas production plans. In particular, Rosneft intends to increase its annual gas production from 7bn cubic meters as of now to 45bn cubic meters by the year 2013. According to Kuznetsov, these ambitions will be realized by implementing Sakhalin projects, increasing Purneftegas' output and developing the Shtokman field.
