The Russian Foreign Ministry expresses regrets at the escalation of the situation on the Lebanese-Israeli border, an official statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry's deputy official spokesman Boris Malakhov says.
"A certain escalation on the Lebanese-Israeli border has been registered lately, Hezbollah units and the Israeli troops are exchanging artillery strikes," the statement stresses. It resulted in casualties on both sides. The parties accuse each other of breaking the truce and say they will disengage themselves from obligations of the armistice agreement.
"All parties must be cold-blooded and patient, they must not admit escalation of the conflict once again. It is inadmissible to follow emotions and have an outburst of mutual violence," Boris Malakhov underscored.
