According to preliminary data, Russia's federal budget showed last January-May a surplus worth 65.3 billion roubles (over $6 billion), that is 1.3 percent of the forecast gross domestic product over the same period, reports the Russian finance ministry. The budget revenues over the said period made 1,030,500 million roubles, that is nearly 90 percent of the planned figure for the first half of the year. The greater part of the sum, amounting to 70 percent, are tax receipts.
The budget expenditures last January-May stood at 965,200 million roubles, or 80 percent of the estimates for the first six months of the year.
