Hewlett-Packard and Chuvashiya Sign Agreement

Chuvashsky President Nickolai Fyodorov and Hewlett-Packard (HP) Corporation General Manager Hilmar Lorents signed an agreement in Cheboksary on Tuesday providing for a strategic partnership in the area of developing architectural and technical consulting. A spokesperson for the administration of the Chuvashsky president told Rosbalt HP will share its experience in creating global information systems with Chubashsky specialists.

On Tuesday an agreement was also concluded between Chuvashiya and the center for competency for electronic government in the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia. The center will give the republic consulting and technical aid in the realization of an electronic government on regional and municipal levels as part of administrative reforms and reforms of government service in Russia. The center's partners include Intel, HP, Cisco, Microsoft, IBS, Optima and Terralink.

The agreements were signed during a seminar and presentation entitled 'Infrastructure of regional electronic government: centers of processing data and centers of social access,' which occurred in the Chuvashsky capital on Tuesday.
