Electrical energy market could be formed in 2 years

The formation of the electrical energy market in Russia is possible not earlier than in 1.5-2 years, Vasily Kuznetsov, the member of the State Duma Energy and Transportation Committee, told RBC. He noted that the energy laws that had been recently signed by the President envisaged that the Russian government was to define dates of creating the electrical energy market. However, before introducing free market prices in this sector, it is necessary to restructure businesses in this sector, transfer enterprises to International Accounting Standards and eliminate cross-subsidies. "If these stages are omitted, we will face an unjustified growth in electrical energy rates", the deputy thinks.
