Tax Ministry to open three inspections to deal with largest taxpayers

The Tax Ministry of Russia plans to open three new tax inspections to deal with the largest taxpayers, Russian Tax Minister Gennady Bukayev declared at a conference in Rostov-on-Don. The inspections will serve the leading companies of the energy, metal and machine-building industries, as well as communication and transport companies. The largest taxpayers in these industries will be reassigned from local tax inspections to the new specialized ones. Among such companies, Bukayev mentioned RAO UES of Russia and the largest power plants. The Tax Ministry currently has three specialized tax inspections to deal with companies of the oil and gas industries, as well as the alcohol and tobacco industries.
