The Russian "flying tank" T-80UK will be presented by specialists of the State Unitary Enterprise Omsktransmash at the Russian Expo Arms-2002 exhibition in Nizhny Tagil (Sverdlovsk region, Urals).
The tank will demonstrate its magnificent performance including jumps from a 1.5 meter trampoline which none of the world's middle class tanks can perform. The tank owes its "flying" nick-name to this very ability to jump.
The T-80UK demonstration (commander's) model is equipped with an optical-electronic suppression kit, a heat vision sight, hydraulic positive-displacement swing motor.
For the first time visitors will watch T-80UK overcoming water obstacles 5 m deep, as well as the firepower of the Omsk tank. The T-80UK is expected to fire 12 shaped charges at the testing ground.
