Russia is considerably contributing to solving African problems, and shares 40 percent of all the written off African debts, Russian President Vladimir Putin said to newsmen upon the end of the G-8 summit in Kananaskis. He remarked the importance of African problems' discussion at the G-8 summit.
As to the results of his bilateral meeting with US President George W. Bush, Vladimir Putin noted that the meeting had been businesslike and informative, and that the sides had exchanged opinions on the Mideastern situation and Indo-Pakistani standoff.
Besides, the Russian head of state raised the issue of the Financial Action Task Force's /FATF/ refusal to exclude Russia from its black list, despite the fact that Russia had met all its 26 strictest demands.
