Turkey may demand extradition of the skyjackers

Turkey may demand to extradite two Chechen terrorists, hijacked the Russian airliner last Thursday. Turkish ambassador to Moscow Nabi Shensoy admits that it is possible. According to the diplomat, “the Turkey’s position will depend on the results of the investigation of the circumstances of the terrorism act”. Thus the number of the countries wishing to judge the international terrorists increases every day. Every state wants to demonstrate its desire to struggle against terrorism. However Russia suffered from the terrorists’ activity more than any other country: the Russian stewardess died, the Russian member of the crew is injured, the most of the passengers of the plane were Russian. Even the hijackers are citizens of the republic, included in the Russian Federation. Therefore the trial should take place in Russia.
