An Il-62 airplane carrying the passengers of the Russian Tu-154 plane, which was hijacked and then freed on Friday, left Saudi Arabia for Moscow soon after 12:00 p.m. Moscow time on Saturday, the Russian Foreign Ministry has said, citing information obtained from Medina. The plane is carrying Russian and CIS nationals, and also several foreigners, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. The crew of the Tu-154 plane are also aboard. This plane is carrying the body of the stewardess that was killed during the hijacking. The Chechen terrorists that hijacked the Tu-154 are not aboard the Il-62, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. The terrorists are currently being held in Medina awaiting the decision of the Saudi administration as to whether they should be handed over to Russia, Interfax reports.
