In Mitino, a district in the outskirts of Moscow, archeologists have discovered "material vestiges of ancient civilizations", Alexander Veksler, Moscow's chief archeologist and director general of the Centre for Archeological Research under the capital's Directorate for Preservation of Historical Monuments, said. He pointed out that Moscow archeologists are now working at 700 archeological sites of historical interest, RIA Novosti announces. Alexander Veksler said that during the initial stage of the large-scale construction project recently developed in the Manezh Square next to the Kremlin, Moscow archeologists had discovered so many interesting finds that they made a separate collection currently put up on display in a special museum set up within the subsurface Manezh commercial centre.
