The Russian Supreme Court's board on criminal matters annulled a sentence on Tuesday handed down by the Moscow City Court in relation to former Russian diplomat Platon Obukhov and returned the case to the Moscow City Court for new hearings. On July 27, 2000, the Moscow City Court found Obukhov guilty of spying for the British intelligence service MI-6 and sentenced him to 11 years in a high security penitentiary, Interfax announces.
