The amount of currency reserves of Russia was totalled $ 27,9 milliard December 29, the PR department of Russian Bank reported on Thursday. Meanwhile, their amount totalled $ 28,3 milliard December 22. Thus the reserves reduced $ 400 million in a week. At the same time, the inflation at the consumer market of Russia was 20,2 % in 2000, as opposed to 36,5% in 1999, 84,4 % in 1998, 11,0 % in 1997 and 21,8 % in 1996. The prices for foodstuffs in on average Russia grew 17,9 % in 2000, as opposed to 35,9 % in 1999, the prices for nonfoods increased 18,5 % in 2000, as opposed to 39,2 % in 1999.
