The 7th conference of the Communist Party opened

The leader of the RF Communist Party Gennady Ziuganov speaking at the 7th conference of party, which is going on today, formulated the main tasks of the party for the near future. “It’s time to choose between a new spurt forward or further staying in the secluded political niche” - said Ziuganov. There are more than half a million members in the Communist party now, 48 thousand of them joined the party after the previous conference. The party happened to extend its influence in legislative and executive government bodies. Ziuganov named three main tasks for the near future: to extend the influence of the party upon labour collectives, to work out and represent a concrete alternative program of Russia development and to consolidate the unity of the party and its discipline.
