At the end of October one of members of notorious group “May”, a certain Dmitry Infalov decided to leave his voters and change his post of a deputy of the region Duma of the city of Sverdlovsk for the post of Komi-Perm autonomous region governor. But November 25 the election committee cancelled his registration for gross infringement of election legislation. But a team of assistants he hired went on functioning. Anfalov apparently arranged things with another candidate – Vankov. Next day the region was heaped up with leaflets casting slurs upon the main candidate Saveliev and current leader of the administration Poluyanov. The purpose of this campaign is to weaken two candidates and to provide maintenance for the third one. According to the poll, conducted Sunday, 25 per cent are going to vote for Saveliev, 23 per cent – for Poluyanov and 12-15 per cent for Vankov. To all appearances, the struggle will aggravate these days. The elections will take place December 3.
