Chechen teachers started a three-day token strike because the authorities had failed pay their salaries. Schools in Chechnya had opened recently after a few year interval and now they are closed again. Teachers of more than 200 school participate in the strike. The trade unions decided to start a strike in spite of the RF government report that the money to pay off arrears of wages had been already allocated. But neither the teachers nor the Chechen administration have received the money, “Itar-Tass” reports. Representatives of the administration claim that according to the Russian Government resolution teachers should get 1,72 million rubles of salary, doctors 8 million rubles, employers of cultural institutions – 4,75 million rubles. The six-month arrears of teachers’ wages is 119 million. However it is nothing to by surprised at. Not only salaries, but even militants captured by special-purpose forces disappear in Chechnya.
