Sergey Snegov: dear Bush, we are sorry for our congratulation

Governments of many countries, hurried up to congratulate George Bush on his victory at presidential elections, got into embarrassing situation. Among the countries congratulated Bush on his victory are Russia, China, Great Britain, the Netherlands, India, Indonesia, Germany. Even representatives of EU sent a congratulation to Bush. Now the congratulations are to be taken back. In fact such unpleasant nuances are peculiar to the US presidential elections 2000. The rival of George Bush, Al Gore, was the first to congratulate Bush by telephone. But in a few minutes he phoned him again and retracted his words. The situation is preposterous. The world community is in such a hurry to congratulate the new American president, that sends congratulatory telegrams, prepared in advance, before the official results are announced. Now the world politics has no choice but to say sorry. And they have to be sorry not only for the presidential candidate, who lost, but for themselves, too. They demonstrated their “moral independence” on USA today.
