MIR TO RECEIVE TWO SPACE LORRIES
Russia’s government decided at its today’s meeting to allocate 750mn roubles for the launch of two Progress cargo spaceships to be docked to the Mir space station, Vice-Premier Ilya Klebanov has said. In his words, launching of two cargo spaceships is necessary for maintaining the Mir’s functioning and its manageable de-orbiting. The government is due to finally decide on the Mir’s fate by late-February, Mr. Klebanov added.
