The Land Code was on Wednesday adopted by the Federation Council (upper house of parliament). As many as 103 senators voted in favour of this decision, 29 were against and nine abstained. The Code legislatively seals the main principles of the land legislation, establishes the subjects and objects of land relations and defines the powers of the centre and the regions in the sphere of the relations. Now the Code will be sent for signing to the President of Russia.
