The average-weighted dollar exchange rate will continue rising on the Russian currency market today, a bank expert noted in an interview with RBC. He stressed that despite the end of the month, when commercial banks usually face a lack of ruble assets, one-day ruble credit rates remained low on the interbank market this morning. They reached about 4 or 5 per cent for large banks and 5 or 6 per cent for medium-sized and small banks. As a result, trading opened at a level of 29.58 rubles per dollar this morning, which was 0.01 rubles higher than the official dollar exchange rate set by the Central Bank for today. Analysts forecasted that the average-weighted dollar exchange rate will reach a level of 29.58 rubles today.
