The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs held a meeting between Russian and US businessmen yesterday, the union's public relations department reported. The Russian side was represented, in particular, by members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, oil company Rosneft, Novolipetsk metal works, Sibirsky Aluminum factory and State Duma deputies. The USA was represented by officials from Metromedia International Telecommunications, Squires, Sanders and Dampsy, Lehman Brothers, Global Emerging Markets and Antenna Group. Participants of the meeting considered key problems of interaction between Russian and US businessmen, such as the cancellation of the Jackson-Venick amendment, support to Russia in its attempts to receive a status of a country with a market economy and Russia's joining the WTO. In addition, they discussed the development of partnership between Russian and US small and medium-sized businesses.
