Following Russian-Hungarian parliamentary talks, Duma Speaker Gennady Seleznyov and National Assembly head Janos Ader appeared before newsmen to declare themselves in favour of wider inter-parliamentary contacts between the two countries. Referring to the Russian MPs' official visit to Hungary, Ader said that it is the first meeting on the parliamentary level since 1996. The closed-doors session has ended with agreement on instituting mixed committees on economic and cultural cooperation.
