Russian President's Official Web Site Upgraded

The upgraded official web site of the Russian president has been up and running on the Internet since Monday, said the press service of the head of the Russian state. The major difference between the new version of the web page and the previous one is the introduction of a news link. The most recent information on president's activities and topical photographs will from now on appear on the site's home page. A running news line with constantly updated news on current work of the president will be displayed on the site. The Federal Agency for the Government Information and Communications subordinated to the president of the Russian Federation did the work on upgrading the site. Some changes were introduced into the design of the site, although the overall concept of the web page remained intact. The press service also reported that a new section about Mr. Putin's official visit to the United States on November 12-15, 2001 was added to the site. The section also contains a series of items on the 2001 Russian-American talks, complete documents adopted at the end of the bilateral negotiations, information on places, which Mr. Putin will visit during his stay in the U.S., and other information, the presidential press service said.
