Rosenergoatom was commissioned to finish elaborating on a part of the investment program for the development of the energy industry until 2002 agreed upon with the government of Russia and submit it to the Cabinet of Ministers on December 27. The whole program is supposed to be agreed upon with the Russian government by February 15, 2002. Atomic Energy Minister Alexander Rumyantsev declared this in an interview with journalists and stressed that the program had already been agreed upon by 90%. According to him, the company asked for 23.5bn rubles (about $776m) for this program.
