The Russian government approved the majority of investment programs of RAO UES (Unified Energy Systems) of Russia for 2002 today, Anatoly Chubais, CEO of the Russian national energy grid, reported at a meeting with journalists. He specified that 80 per cent of investment programs for a total of 24bn rubles ($793m) have been coordinated as of now. Chubais also reported that Atomic Energy Minister Alexander Rumyantsev approved the investment program of RAO UES for 2002.
