Russia's Foreign Trade Volume

In January-October 2001, Russia's foreign trade volume amounted to USD 129.4 billion, an increase of USD 8.7 billion year on year, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade reported. In the period under review Russian exports accounted for USD 86.7 billion, an increase of USD 1.7 billion year on year. At the same time, export to non-CIS countries grew by 0.7 percent, the ministry reported. Over the first ten months of the year Russian imports rose by USD 7 billion to USD 42.7 billion what with imports from non-CIS countries grew by 28.6 percent.
