Energy Ministry posts rise in oil production in Russia

The volume of oil production increased 11 percent to 64.5m tons in January and February 2003 compared to the corresponding months last year, a source in the Russian Energy Ministry reported. In particular, domestic vertically integrated oil companies produced 58.76m tons of oil in the first two months of this year.
