Herman Gref, Russian minister of economic development and trade, started implementing his program of participation in the Global economic forum in Davos.
According to the information reported by the minister's press service, on Saturday the minister is scheduled to meet with Swiss minister of economy Deiss, with Khoroshkovsky, Ukrainian minister of economy, and with Evans, US Secretary of Commerce.
In the afternoon Gref will take part in the meeting with representatives of Western financial and business circles within the framework of the consultative Foreign investment council. In the course of that meeting they are expected to contemplate matters related to Russia's transition to the international accounting system, in addition to that the meeting is expected to consider mattes of Russia's entry into the WTO and improvement of Russia's image abroad.
Also important will be the minister's participation in the meeting-discussion planned for the evening on matters of Russia's relations with Europe. It will also be attended by Andrei Illarionov, aide to the Russian President on economic issues, Mikhail Margelov, chairman of the Committee on international affairs of the Federation council, as well as by representatives of Russian and Western business, financial and banking circles.
