Far Eastern energy companies owe $252m to banks

Far Eastern energy companies owe some 8bn rubles ($252m) to credit organizations. The attracted loans were necessary for the preparations for the fall-winter season, the press service of Vostokenergo told the Vostok-Media news agency. There are several reasons for attracting money; they are late payments of energy consumers, low energy rates and debts of municipal enterprises.

The total amount of debts to energy companies in the Far East is 11bn rubles ($346m).
