Combating terrorism will become a key issue at the Russian President's negotiations with the Indian government.

After the official welcoming ceremony in compliance with the Indian tradition Vladimir Putin answered a question of local journalists asking him to name the key issue he would like to discuss during his visit to India. "I have come to discuss more than one issue," Vladimir Putin jested.

He said "there were a lot of issues" he intended to discuss with India's President and Prime Minister. He pointed out that Russia and India were doing a lot together on the international scene. The Russian Head of State stressed that the key issue was to put an end to terror in the world.

Moreover, Putin said that during the Russia-India negotiations he also intended to touch upon cooperation in the military and economic spheres.
